What is Dunning?

Dunning is the process of reminding customers to pay, usually in steps that get firmer over time: a friendly note before the due date, a reminder after it, then escalation.

Example

A typical schedule: a heads-up 3 days before the due date, a reminder on day 7, a firmer note on day 15, and a call task for the account owner on day 30.

Why it matters

Most late payments are forgotten invoices, not refusals. A consistent schedule gets those paid without anyone lifting a phone, and saves the team’s calls for the accounts that need a conversation.

In Creditouch

Set a schedule once for the company and override it for a group, a debtor or an invoice. Reminders are consolidated per debtor and pause automatically for disputes and pending promises.
